Movementally

Movementally is a movement practice developed to explore movement as a way of sensing, thinking, and understanding the body, through awareness, breath, and intuitive movement.

It is not a fixed technique, but an approach to movement that can inform different practices. In my work, I currently apply these principles within yoga, dance, and physical acting, inviting participants to initiate movement from different parts of the body and explore how movement develops, travels, and transforms.

Music plays an important role in my sessions. As a music producer working primarily with music for dance and physical theatre through my project Navel Radiation, I am particularly interested in how sound influences movement. Different musical atmospheres can support, guide, and transform how the body moves and experiences itself in motion.

Movementally sessions usually focus on each participant’s individual experience, while workshops may also include partner or group exploration. The practice encourages listening to the body, developing presence, and discovering new ways of moving.

Classes

My classes explore body awareness, breath, and creative movement, and are designed to support both personal exploration and physical training. Movementally is open to people of all levels of experience and invites participants to approach movement with curiosity, awareness, and freedom.

Alongside regular classes, I also offer individual sessions.

Movementally Yoga

Movementally Yoga combines elements of yoga, intuitive movement, and somatic awareness. The class invites participants to explore fluid movement sequences supported by breath and carefully selected music. Rather than focusing only on form, the practice encourages students to listen to their bodies and develop a deeper awareness of how movement feels from within. The class creates space for both structure and freedom, allowing each participant to move in their own way while building strength, mobility, and presence.

Physical Acting

In my Physical Acting classes at Prague Film Institute, I work with actors to develop body awareness, presence, and expressive movement. The training focuses on how physicality can support character development, storytelling, and performance in front of the camera. Through guided exercises, movement exploration, and partner work, students learn to use the body as an active creative tool. These classes are part of the Prague Film Institute curriculum and are available exclusively to PFI students.

Movementally Workshops

I offer Movementally workshops for studios, schools, and creative groups interested in exploring movement, body awareness, and creative expression. Workshops can combine elements of somatic movement, intuitive dance, breathwork, and physical theatre, depending on the needs of the group. Each workshop is designed as an open space for exploration, where participants can develop movement awareness, creativity, and connection through shared physical practice.

About me // Daša

I am a Prague-based dancer, yoga teacher and movement practitioner. My work focuses on embodied movement across dance, yoga, and physical acting, using the body as a primary tool for awareness, expression, and storytelling. I hold a Master’s degree in Dance Pedagogy from the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague (HAMU).

Since 2016 I have been developing Movementally, an ongoing movement practice exploring somatic awareness, intuitive movement, breath, and improvisation. This practice informs all of my classes, including movement and physical acting at the Prague Film Institute and yoga and movement sessions at Prague Yoga Collective. Alongside teaching, I also collaborate on dance, theatre, and film projects and create original music under the project Navel Radiation.

  • “On Wiggle” by Jacob Collier

There’s a word I’ve always loved. It’s the word wiggle. I think it’s one of the best words ever made. And, you know, it’s the first thing we do as people. We come out into the world, boom, and then we just wiggle. And we sort of go through our lives wiggling, but unfortunately, there…
